MAC OS X에서 IE 테스트하는 빠른, 최고의 방법

BrowserStack (http://browserstack.com/) 사용이 매우 좋지만 과금해야 하니,

가상머신인 VirtualBox를 이용할것이니 설치해놓고 시작!

가상OS 이미지를 이미 MS의 Modern.IE (https://www.modern.ie/)에서 제공함

허나, 제공되는 이미지들을 하나 하나 받아서 하자니 적잖게 귀차니즘이 발동하니까

다운로드 > 설치 > 셋팅을 자동화해주는 도구를 이용! 

ievms (https://github.com/xdissent/ievms)

QuickStart 따라하면 다운로드 용량도 용량이지만

48G의 저장용량이 사용되니 유념하시고

본인은 맥북에어라 저장용량이 적기에 Installation 안내 중

To install specific IE versions (IE7 and IE8 only for example) use:

• curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/xdissent/ievms/master/ievms.sh | env IEVMS_VERSIONS="7 8" bash

명령을 터미널에 Copy & Paste 하여 IE 7 ~8 선택적 설치함. (Vagrant)

터미널에서 다운로드 > 설치 > 셋업 주르륵 흘러가고

프롬프트가 다시 뜨면

VirtualBox 실행하여 가상머신 목록을 확인하면

IE7 - WinXP (Clean)
IE8 - WinXP (Clean)

추가된것을 확인할 수 있음. (모두 영문판)

실행시켜봅세~

XP 실행되고... 전체화면으로 실행하겠다고 하니 알았다고 해준 뒤

띄워지면 로그인 암호를 물을건데

XP 는 IEUser : Passw0rd!
7은 Administrator : Passw0rd!

(영문'오' 아니고 숫자 '영'임)

VirtualBox 메뉴 > Devices > Insert Guest Additions CD Images... > 자동실행 안뜨면 탐색기 실행하여 CD드라이브에 로딩된 파일중 exe실행 > 자동실행된거 설치 > 리부팅 한다고... > 재부팅

모든 윈도우들은 Activation 안된 30일 제한판이니 Activation은 알아서...

IE 디버깅 툴은 FireBug Lite (https://getfirebug.com/firebuglite) 북마크릿 이용

창모드는 VirtualBox 메뉴 > View > Switch to fullscreen 체크 제거 & Adjust Window Size 선택
